The South Carolina Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge was formed in 1977 and Laurens County FOP Lodge #29, Inc. was formed in 2005.

The Fraternal Order of Police is the world's largest organization of sworn officers, with over 355,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve though education, legislation, information, community involvement and employee representation. Membership Dues Include: 

Legal Defense Plan both B&C (Civil and Criminal) *Administrative Plan and additional fee.

Legal Defense for Retired P/O (HR-218 Limit of $25,000 Annually)

Life Insurance - $5,000 55 and under but reduces to $2,500 after 55 years of age

Dependent's Life Insurance - $2,500 (Disappears at age 70)

Child Life Insurance - $1.500 Ends at age 18 unless a full time student with proof, then extends to age 23

Free and Discounted College Degrees for Member, Spouse, Children.
